After intensive renovation to the exterior and interior of the building, Volvo Cars Waterford’s new showroom is now complete and accessible to all on the Cork road, Waterford. To celebrate, we are holding a Launch of the new showroom from the 5th to the 8th of September.
Official Open Day | 7th September | 11am-5pm
Our official party takes place on Friday 7th of September, with an open invite to all! To complement our renovated showroom – which has been transformed to a ‘cool on the outside and warm on the inside’ style building – our official Open Day on Friday the 7th of September is a nod to Swedish style.
On offer throughout the day is Swedish ‘Fika’. What is Fika? Fika is the art of coffee breaks in Sweden. Featuring really good coffee or tea, along with a selection of food, such as cinnamon buns and chocolate balls. Entertainment will be provided by WLR FM, who will broadcast live from 12-3pm with Geoff Harris & WLR Street Team.

Volvo Retail Experience: Our showroom is the ultimate reflection of Volvo’s heritage and is designed to reflect Scandinavian-inspired values of calm and clean lines. With this in mind, the space offers customers a truly premium sales and ownership experience. It is designed to remove some of the perceived barriers between dealers and their customers, and to improve trust, customer service and overall impressions of the brand.
Over the course of four months, Volvo Cars Waterford has been transformed, adding more features, such as a standalone coffee bar. In addition, one of the waiting areas – styled as a ‘living area’ – is located in front of the service department, allowing you to follow the progress of your car’s service in a relaxed environment.
Also new to the Volvo network is Volvo Personal Service, which streamlines after-sales functions to improve workshop efficiency and job throughput, while delivering a much more personal service to Volvo customers via a dedicated technician.
VPS, the new name for Volvo’s ‘One Hour Stop’ service, is shaped by trust, transparency and respect for a customer’s time. It works by utilising teams of Personal Service Technicians (PST) working on cars as groups rather than individually. This allows for work to be carried out twice as fast, nearly halving customer wait times.
PSTs then become a single point of contact for the customer, who knows that the person they are talking to is the person directly responsible for their car. This personal relationship builds trust and transparency and helps ensure greater clarity and efficiency.
